[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh-seok] Expectations for improved earnings are growing as #Siseon AI expands its robotic automation business, led by its subsidiary Uon Robotics. Analysts predict that the pace of profitability improvement will accelerate as order recognition gains momentum and cost efficiency measures take effect.

Independent research firm Value Finder released a report on the 4th stating, “Given the imminent launch of the robot automation project at the Nonghyup Agricultural Product Distribution Center (APC) by subsidiary Uon Robotics, as well as the establishment of strategic partnerships with Nonghyup Information & Communication and Hanwha Robotics, and cost savings through workforce optimization, future earnings improvements are expected.”
Siseon AI is a vision AI specialist established in 2010 and listed on the KOSDAQ market in 2023. The company supplies products such as the airport facial recognition system ‘SEEU LINE’ and the carry-on luggage security solution ‘SEEU x-RAY’ to government agencies, and provides the PC screen information protection solution ‘SEEU ON’ to private companies including Samsung SDS.
In the first quarter of this year, consolidated revenue reached 3.3 billion won, a 160% increase year-over-year; however, the company recorded an operating loss of 2.8 billion won, continuing its deficit. Nevertheless, earnings are expected to improve once order recognition gains momentum.
Its subsidiary, Uon Robotics (86.4% stake), is preparing for the AI transition and robotic automation projects at Nonghyup’s Agricultural Product Processing Centers (APCs). The government plans to convert 100 of the approximately 500 APCs nationwide into “Smart APCs” by 2027. Amid growing demand for automation due to the declining and aging rural population, it is estimated that each APC will require 7 to 8 robots, representing an investment of 300 to 400 million won per facility. Consequently, the market is expected to reach approximately 300 billion won by 2027, with the total market size projected to reach about 1.5 trillion won.
Yuon Robotics has secured a competitive edge by conducting a two-year Proof of Concept (PoC) with major APCs. In April, the company also established a strategic partnership with Nonghyup Information & Communication and Hanwha Robotics regarding the smart APC business. As Hanwha Group is expanding its physical AI business based on “robot technology for handling non-standard objects,” the potential for market share growth is also being raised.
Improvements in the cost structure are also cited as a positive factor. Siseon AI has reduced its workforce from approximately 135 employees in early 2025 to around 60 through business restructuring. Consequently, employee salary-related expenses decreased by 700 million won as of the first quarter. Other costs are also continuing to be reduced, which is expected to contribute to improved profitability in the future.
Lee Chung-heon, a researcher at Value Finder, stated, “Vision AI-based public and private sector delivery references, along with Uon Robotics’ two years of PoC experience, are key competitive advantages.” He added, “Through collaboration with Hanwha Robotics and Nonghyup Information & Communication, the company is expected to secure a leading position in the 1.5 trillion won smart APC market.”
He added, “The pace of bottom-line improvement will accelerate as cost savings from workforce reductions align with the full recognition of new orders.”
