The company has built a state-of-the-art gear machining plant covering 7,452 square meters on a 16,505-square-meter site. Once all equipment is operational, the facility will secure an annual production capacity of up to 94 billion won.
The company plans to strengthen its mass production system for reducers and transmission components for electric and hybrid vehicles based on Plant No. 4. It aims to establish a flexible production system to stably supply electrification components applicable to various vehicle models and enhance quality competitiveness.
Along with expanding production capacity, the company is also increasing its investment in research and development (R&D). In conjunction with the completion of this plant, NeoAuto plans to expand its technology research institute and, leveraging the precision machining technology it has accumulated in the field of automotive transmissions and reducers, embark on the development of high-efficiency new products and core technologies for next-generation mobility.
The company is also accelerating its expansion into new business areas. NeoAuto is participating in the “Technology Development Project for the Localization of Drive Components for Planetary Exploration Rovers,” led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KEIT), to develop precision components for robot actuator reducers. Based on this, the company plans to expand its business scope into high-value-added sectors such as unmanned vehicles, robots, and defense.
A NeoAuto official stated, “The completion of Plant No. 4 is a turning point that goes beyond simply expanding production capacity; it marks the expansion of our business portfolio from internal combustion engine parts to electrification components and, ultimately, to the next-generation mobility industry.” The official added, “We will enhance our mid- to long-term growth potential and profitability based on our global supply chain competitiveness and technological capabilities.”
