[Edaily Reporter Han Jeon-jin] #Hyundai Home Shopping has begun expanding its adoption of automated logistics equipment to strengthen its logistics competitiveness. By implementing equipment tailored to the characteristics of home shopping orders, the company aims to improve shipping efficiency and enhance the working environment.

Robotic arms are devices that pick up products and transfer them to conveyor belts in a single motion, while singulators are systems that automatically align products to facilitate sequential shipping.
A key feature of this new equipment is that it was designed specifically for the home shopping logistics environment. Taking into account the structure where orders for the same product are concentrated during specific time slots based on broadcast schedules, the system is capable of processing large volumes of goods in a short period of time. The robotic arms can move up to 24 boxes at a time.
Hyundai Home Shopping has established an automated shipping process system—covering everything from unloading to product sorting and shipping label application—by integrating this new equipment with the “Auto-Labeler,” an automatic shipping label applicator introduced last year.
The company expects that with the introduction of this equipment, the Hwaseong Logistics Center’s hourly processing capacity will increase to a maximum of 4,000 orders, and the total shipping time will be reduced by up to 20% compared to previous levels.
A Hyundai Home Shopping official stated, “We are expanding our investment in automation to enhance logistics efficiency and create a safe working environment for our employees,” adding, “We plan to continue introducing state-of-the-art equipment suitable for our logistics environment.”
