[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] Cancer molecular diagnostics company #GenQrix is partnering with a local Chinese medical firm to enter the Chinese market with its breast cancer prognostic diagnostic test service.
GenCurix announced on the 4th that it has signed a partnership agreement with Guoren International Medical Group, a Chinese healthcare services company, to supply its breast cancer prognostic diagnostic test, "GenesWell BCT," to the southern region of China. (Photo: Genecurix) Under this agreement, Guoren will promote the local introduction and expansion of services for GenesWell BCT in major regions of southern China, including Hainan and Guangdong provinces. The two companies plan to introduce testing services starting with the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Special Zone in Hainan, following the necessary procedures, and then expand supply to large medical markets such as Guangdong Province.
The Boao Lucheng Special Zone is a region that supports the entry of innovative medical devices and pharmaceuticals from overseas into the Chinese market and is regarded as a hub enabling the early introduction of global medical technologies. Guoren is a specialized company that supports the registration of overseas medical devices and pharmaceuticals, clinical research, and distribution in the region.
Through this collaboration, GenQrix aims to establish the foundation for the first commercialization of GenSwell BCT in China and expand cooperation with local hospitals and testing institutions. In particular, the company expects this partnership to serve as a springboard for market expansion in China, as it allows for simultaneous penetration of both the Hainan Special Zone and the Guangdong medical market.
GenSwell BCT is a gene-based prognostic diagnostic test that predicts the need for chemotherapy following breast cancer surgery. It is designed to assess a patient’s risk of recurrence and the effectiveness of anticancer treatment, thereby supporting the development of personalized treatment strategies.
Li Zhanbin, CEO of Guorun, stated, “GenSwell BCT is a molecular diagnostic solution that can provide critical information for treatment decision-making in breast cancer patients,” adding, “We will actively promote the introduction and expansion of the product in major medical regions in southern China.”
Moon Young-ho, Vice President of GenQrix, remarked, “This partnership marks a crucial starting point for GenSwell BCT’s full-scale entry into the Chinese market,” adding, “We will strengthen our support to help the test establish itself as a premium breast cancer prognostic diagnostic test through collaboration with Guoren, which possesses a robust medical network in China.”
Meanwhile, GenQriX recently presented research findings on its digital PCR-based cancer diagnostic technology at major academic conferences, including the Global Breast Cancer Conference (GBCC 2026), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR 2026), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO 2026), and is expanding exports of its CE-IVDR-certified cancer diagnostic kits to Europe.
