Ugg Expands Beyond Winter Boots to Summer Sandals and Slippers

May Sales Up 50%… Men’s Shoes Also Double

[Edaily Reporter Kyung Gye-young] UGG, long known as the epitome of winter boots, has expanded its product line to include summer footwear.

According to UGG, the lifestyle brand imported and sold by Shinsegae International, domestic UGG sales in May increased by 50% compared to the same month last year.

The items driving this sales growth were summer footwear, including sandals and slippers. In particular, sales of men’s footwear doubled compared to the same month last year, highlighting strong growth in that category. UGG explained that sales of the “Peak Mode Breed” and “Ocho Clog”—models worn by brand ambassador Yeon Jun—increased.

Women’s sandals were also popular. Key products for this season, such as the “Golden Gaze Toe Post” sandals, saw major sizes sell out early, and the Chestnut and Red Pepper colorways were completely sold out. The “Golden Glow Toggle” and “Golden Star High Artistic” models are also gaining popularity.

AUG is stepping up its marketing efforts targeting people in their 20s and 30s, including operating an interactive booth at a jazz music event held last month at Seoul Olympic Park.

A representative from Shinsegae International’s UGG division stated, “UGG, once known primarily for women’s winter boots, has now established itself as a year-round fashion brand enjoyed by both men and women,” adding, “As the vacation season kicks into high gear starting in June, we will actively respond to demand for summer footwear to sustain our growth momentum.”

UGG’s 2026 summer collection is available at offline stores nationwide and on Shinsegae International’s proprietary digital platform, Shinsegae V.
