The Bon Korea announced that CEO Baek released his first video since his return on the 5th via his YouTube channel, "Baek Jong-won PAIK JONG WON," which has 5.97 million subscribers. The first video featured his signature cooking program, "Cooking Secrets," and introduced a recipe for soy sauce cold noodles, a summer dish.

CEO Baek announced the suspension of his YouTube activities in May of last year. The Bon Korea explained that since a significant number of complaints and allegations raised following the company’s listing in late 2024 were resolved by early this year, CEO Baek had signaled his return to YouTube following the shareholders’ meeting in March.

Baek Jong-won’s channel will now focus primarily on cooking content. The Bon Korea plans to expand content that introduces Korean recipes and cooking methods in a way that overseas viewers can easily follow. It will also launch content promoting Korean cuisine and food culture under the subtitle “K-Vibe.”

The channel will resume with Season 2 of the popular existing segment, “I’ll Eat It Myself.” While the previous season focused on store management and operational inspections, the new season will emphasize mutual growth with franchisees. It will feature videos documenting the process of developing limited-edition menus using local specialties and bringing them to actual stores.

#TheBonKorea will also revamp the TBK and TheBon NOW channels separately from the Baek Jong-won channel. TBK will operate as a promotional channel introducing overseas expansion and brand menus. It plans to showcase recipes for Korean dishes using 11 types of B2B global sauces and brand products.

The Bon NOW will serve as a channel for delivering company and brand news. It will present company updates and stories from the field in short video formats.

A representative from The Bon Korea stated, “CEO Baek Jong-won’s YouTube channel will return to its roots by focusing solely on cooking content, contributing to the popularization and global expansion of Korean cuisine, as well as mutual growth through the use of local ingredients.” The representative added, “We plan to thoroughly separate company-related content that was previously mixed with the existing Baek Jong-won channel and present it through the TBK and The Bon NOW channels according to their respective purposes.”
