Naver and NVIDIA Plan to Announce Their ‘AI Alliance’ Directly
[Edaily Reporter Lee So-hyun] Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, and Lee Hae-jin, Chairman of Naver, will appear together on a live broadcast on Naver’s (#NAVER) streaming platform “Chizichik” on the 8th.

According to Naver, the link to the special Chizchik live stream featuring CEO Jensen Huang and Chairman Lee Hae-jin will go live at 3:30 p.m. on the 8th. The broadcast will be streamed live for free, and users can watch it via the Chizchik app or on a PC.
This live broadcast will take place at the “Vision Stage” set up at Naver’s 1784 headquarters. Vision Stage is a virtual studio-style space built within 1784 by Naver for video content production and live streaming. While 1784 serves as a testbed that consolidates Naver’s technological capabilities in robotics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twins, Vision Stage is the stage that extends these capabilities into content and platform experiences.
CEO Hwang and Chairman Lee will appear together on the Chizichik special live stream for approximately 15 minutes starting at 3:50 p.m.
This Chizchiz live stream is expected to serve as a symbolic moment that goes beyond a simple fan event to announce the AI infrastructure alliance between Naver and NVIDIA to the public. While Naver Pay garnered attention on the 5th when Chairman Lee used “FaceSign,” the facial recognition payment system of Naver Pay Connect—the company’s offline payment terminal—to pay for a meal during a pork belly dinner gathering, this event is expected to be an opportunity to showcase the technological capabilities of Chizchiz and Vision Stage.
CEO Hwang had previously publicly introduced the partnership with Naver during NVIDIA’s keynote speech at Computex in Taiwan on the 1st. This visit to 1784 and the Chijichik live stream are expected to serve as an opportunity to directly showcase the collaborative relationship between the two companies to domestic users.

This live stream is particularly noteworthy as it takes place immediately after Naver and NVIDIA agreed on a joint venture to build a gigawatt (GW)-scale mega AI factory. The two companies have decided to pursue an integrated partnership that goes beyond a simple technical alliance to encompass global demand discovery, capital cooperation, infrastructure construction, and operations. Naver will participate as a key global partner, sharing both the business outcomes and risks.
The two companies plan to expand the scale of their AI infrastructure, starting with the operation of a 55MW facility in the first half of 2027, followed by 100MW in the same year and 200MW in 2028. Ultimately, they aim to build a GW-scale infrastructure—approximately four times the maximum capacity of Naver’s “Gak Sejong,” South Korea’s largest hyperscale data center. This is a massive scale capable of accommodating hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA’s latest GPUs.
Technical collaboration will also be expanded across the board. This will involve integrating NVIDIA’s next-generation high-performance infrastructure platform, “DSX,” with Naver’s accumulated capabilities in building and operating large-scale GPU clusters and its expertise in hyperscale data centers. Through this, the two companies aim to enhance data center operational efficiency and business viability, while expanding their leadership in the AI infrastructure ecosystem beyond the Asia-Pacific region to the Middle East and European markets.
Cooperation in the field of spatial intelligence has also been announced. Plans are underway to build the “Seoul World Model” by combining Naver’s spatial modeling technology and street view data with NVIDIA’s world foundation model, “Cosmos.” Naver recently became the first Korean company to join the “NVIDIA Nemotron Alliance,” which includes global AI companies, and is accelerating efforts to enhance the performance of HyperClova X and ensure its global applicability.
Regarding this collaboration, Chairman Lee stated, “We are now able to present concrete alternatives that enable regions and countries around the world to build their own sovereign AI capabilities,” adding, “This has created an opportunity for Naver’s competitive technological infrastructure to leap into the global market.”
CEO Hwang said, “Naver is building an AI Factory infrastructure to support companies, developers, and the industrial ecosystem,” adding, “Through NVIDIA DSX, we will help Korea expand its sovereign intelligence infrastructure for the agentic era, spanning from AI agents to AI Factories and Physical AI.”
