[Profile] Lee Hyung-cheon, CEO of Shinsegae Property

[Edaily Reporter Kyung Gye-young] Shinsegae Property announced on the 8th that it has nominated Lee Hyung-cheon (57, pictured), head of the Development Division at Shinsegae Property, to serve as co-CEO alongside Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin.

Lee Hyung-cheon, the nominee for the new CEO position, graduated from Bucheon High School and Yonsei University’s Department of French Language and Literature before joining Shinsegae in 1993. After serving as Head of Business Development and Head of Development Team 1 at Shinsegae Group, as well as Head of the Development Team at E-Mart, he joined Shinsegae Property in 2017 and has led development-related operations.

Lee has been tasked with working alongside Chairman Shin to ensure the smooth execution of major projects, including the construction of Starfield Cheongna.

Shinsegae Property explained that the nominee, as a professional manager, will oversee current issues and organizational operations to drive profitability improvements, while Chairman Jeong will oversee the establishment of mid- to long-term visions and the enhancement of corporate value, thereby realizing organic synergy management.
