Dow Technology to Open AI Data Center in 2027… Declares Entry into Hyperscale Market

Building Next-Generation Data Centers to Meet Demand for AI and High-Performance Computing Addressing High-Density GPU Environments Enhancing Stability Through Dual Cooling and Power Systems Targeting the CSP and Enterprise Markets

[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah] #DowTech will open a new data center in the second quarter of 2027 and begin expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure business in earnest. Amid surging demand for high-performance computing (HPC) driven by the proliferation of generative AI and the rise of data-driven decision-making, the company plans to accelerate its push into the AI infrastructure market by leveraging hyperscale data centers.

Dow Technology announced on the 9th that it is building next-generation data centers optimized for the AI era, leveraging the IT operations experience and infrastructure deployment capabilities it has accumulated over the past 40 years.

Targeting
AI Workloads… Optimized for High-Density GPU Environments
The new data center is designed as a digital infrastructure platform that supports workloads centered on AI and high-performance computing.

With the recent proliferation of generative AI, the density and heat output of GPU servers have increased rapidly, highlighting the operational limitations of existing data centers. In response, Daou Technology has implemented high-efficiency cooling systems and optimized designs to ensure stable operation even in high-density server environments.

Additionally, the company has ensured high availability by implementing redundancy across all core facility supply chains, including electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and network systems. Furthermore, it has strengthened customer data protection and incident response capabilities by establishing a multi-layered physical security system and a 24/7 integrated monitoring system.

“Scale as needed”… Providing flexible infrastructure
Daou Technology plans to enhance customer convenience by providing an infrastructure environment capable of accommodating racks with various power densities, along with carrier-neutral connectivity.

Companies can flexibly scale IT resources to match their business growth without large initial investments and can efficiently build hybrid environments that integrate the cloud and data centers.

Jeong Yeon-seop, Head of the CDC Business Division at Daou Technology, stated, “This data center will serve as a core infrastructure supporting our customers’ business continuity and stability,” adding, “Since Daou Technology is building and operating it directly, we will provide a stable and efficient AI infrastructure environment.”

Full-Scale Push into the AI Infrastructure Market
Ahead of the center’s opening, Daou Technology plans to launch full-scale marketing activities targeting global cloud service providers (CSPs) and enterprise customers.

To this end, the company recently released the “2026 Daou Data Center Service Brochure” to highlight its differentiated infrastructure capabilities. The brochure details the data center’s design philosophy, operational framework, scalability, and security features.

As the data center market grows rapidly due to increasing demand for AI training and inference, the industry expects Daou Technology to cultivate its AI infrastructure business as a new growth engine based on its in-house operational capabilities.

Founded in 1986, Daou Technology is a leading IT service company in Korea and was the first software specialist to be listed on the KOSPI. The company operates in the data center sector as well as enterprise solutions and IT services.
