[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh-seok] #Manho Steel announced on the 9th that it is accelerating its expansion into the robotics business by acquiring MH Dynamics, a robot hardware and ultra-precision machining company. The company acquired 100% of MH Dynamics’ shares, with the transaction valued at approximately 20 billion won.

With this acquisition, Manho Steel has established a foundation to leap forward as an integrated robotics solutions provider by combining its existing steel wire and cable manufacturing capabilities with the robot electronics (software) technology of its subsidiary MH Systems (formerly Shinwon) and the robot hardware (precision machinery and components) capabilities of MH Dynamics. The company emphasizes that this move goes beyond simply entering a new business sector; it represents the vertical integration of the core value chain of the robotics industry within the group.
MH Dynamics is a company specializing in mobility components based on precision machining. Its portfolio includes CV joints, precision components for the defense industry, drivetrain components, and EV parts such as electric vehicle battery frames. The company is reportedly continuing its growth trajectory, having recorded sales of 43.3 billion won in 2025.
The division of roles moving forward is also well-defined. Manho Steel will supply the special alloy materials and components necessary for robot hardware manufacturing, while MH Systems will be responsible for developing robot electronics and control software. Additionally, with MH Dynamics handling the machining of precision robot hardware components and automation platform technology, the group will establish an integrated business structure that encompasses the electrical systems—the robot’s “nervous system”—control software—the “brain”—and hardware—the “muscles and skeleton.”
The company believes that the robot industry has significant mid- to long-term growth potential, given the expanding global demand for manufacturing automation and the growth of the AI-based intelligent robot market. With this acquisition, the company aims to expand its business scope to include industrial robots, smart factories, and collaborative robots, and to enhance its revenue structure by integrating its existing manufacturing competitiveness with the robotics business.
A company official stated, “Following the acquisition of MH Systems, which secured our robot software foundation, the integration of MH Dynamics has now equipped us with hardware capabilities as well.” The official added, “By converging the technologies of Manho Steel, MH Systems, and MH Dynamics, we will grow into an integrated robot solutions provider and emerge as a leading player in the AI-based intelligent robot market.”
