[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] #Nutri is stepping up its shareholder return policy by simultaneously pursuing a share buyback and cancellation.
Nutri, a company specializing in health functional foods, announced on the 9th that it plans to sign a trust agreement with Mirae Asset Securities for the acquisition of treasury stock worth 1.5 billion won. The contract period will last approximately three months, from the 11th to September 10. Through this trust agreement, the company plans to acquire approximately 468,750 shares of its own stock and subsequently cancel all of them. The aim is to reduce the number of shares outstanding through the cancellation of treasury stock, thereby increasing per-share value and shareholder value.
In addition, the company will simultaneously cancel its existing treasury shares. Nutri plans to cancel 205,378 treasury shares on the 30th. Once the cancellation is complete, the total number of issued shares will decrease to approximately 8.99 million.
A Nutri official stated, “This decision to acquire and cancel treasury shares was made based on our confidence in the company’s stable financial structure and growth potential,” adding, “We plan to continue implementing various policies to enhance shareholder value and strengthen responsible management.”
Meanwhile, Nutri is expanding its business by leveraging the competitiveness of its health functional food brands. The company is also accelerating its push into the global market, as evidenced by the recent official launch of its flagship brand, “Ever Collagen,” at the Olive Young store in Pasadena, California.
