Samsung SDS Partners with XBow and Tatum to Strengthen AI and Cloud Security

Collaboration with U.S. and South Korean Security Startups Strengthening AI Vulnerability Detection and Cloud Monitoring Enhancing Security Systems from Prevention to Recovery Responding to New Threats in Corporate AI Transformation

[Edaily Reporter Shin Young-bin] Samsung SDS (#SamsungSDS) is partnering with domestic and international artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud security specialists to strengthen its security capabilities for corporate clients’ AI and cloud transitions.

Samsung SDS announced on the 10th that it is entering into business partnerships with U.S. AI security startup XBOW and domestic cloud security firm TATUM Security.

Through this collaboration, Samsung SDS aims to enhance its competitiveness across all aspects of enterprise security operations, including AI-based vulnerability detection, integrated cloud security monitoring, and security incident response. The goal is to help companies proactively address security threats that may arise during the adoption and operation of AI and cloud environments.

Samsung SDS will collaborate with XBOW to expand its AI-based vulnerability detection capabilities for corporate customers’ web-based IT assets. XBOW, a U.S.-based AI security startup founded in 2024, ranked first on HackerOne—the world’s largest bug bounty platform—in June 2025 for detecting vulnerabilities faster and more accurately than human hackers.

Samsung SDS plans to use Xbow’s AI technology for penetration testing to quickly and precisely identify vulnerabilities in corporate clients’ web services and information assets. The company intends to ensure stable service availability and reduce the likelihood of potential security incidents by addressing vulnerabilities and implementing follow-up measures. It expects this approach to minimize legal and financial losses as well.

With TATUM Security, the company will strengthen its integrated security monitoring system tailored for multi-cloud environments. Founded in 2020, TATUM Security is a South Korean cloud security firm that possesses technology to manage and visualize major public and private clouds—including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—from a single console.

Samsung SDS plans to leverage TATUM Security’s technology to provide integrated security monitoring and visibility to enterprise customers using diverse cloud environments. Enterprise customers will be able to grasp the security status of multiple cloud assets at a glance, identify anomalies and risk factors early on, and proactively prevent security incidents.

Samsung SDS also plans to expand its collaboration with TATUM Security in the future through cloud access and identity management services, as well as joint development.

The company will also strengthen its security incident response capabilities. As a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), Samsung SDS will enhance its analysis, response, and recovery systems before and after incidents occur. This decision stems from the recognition that, as cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, rapid analysis and action upon an incident are crucial to preventing further damage and reducing recovery time.

Samsung SDS also plans to offer security incident response services. In the event of a security incident, the company will support detection, containment, removal, and recovery, as well as assist with analyzing the root cause and establishing measures to prevent recurrence. Through this, the company aims to support corporate customers in maintaining business continuity and enhancing cyber resilience.

Jang Yong-min, Executive Vice President and Head of the Security Business Team at Samsung SDS, stated, “Through balanced collaboration with leading domestic and international security startups, we have successfully established a highly comprehensive response system covering the entire spectrum of cloud security—from proactive prevention and continuous monitoring to post-incident recovery.” He added, “By combining global leading-edge technology, domestically tailored solutions, and Samsung SDS’s operational expertise, we will proactively address the surge in new threats resulting from the widespread adoption of AI within enterprises.”
