[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] #SMAC, a semiconductor and robotics-based manufacturing solutions company, announced on the 10th that Chairman Choi Young-seop purchased 91,592 shares of the company’s stock on the open market over two days, the 8th and 9th.
The company explained that this purchase is an additional acquisition following a previous on-market purchase and represents a move that once again demonstrates confidence in the company’s mid- to long-term growth potential and a commitment to responsible management. SMAC has recently been expanding its business scope as a Physical AI-based manufacturing solutions company that combines semiconductor equipment, robotic automation, 5G private networks, and AI control technology.
The company is also accelerating efforts to secure new growth engines in line with the increasing demand for semiconductor material processing equipment driven by expanded AI semiconductor investments and the trend toward manufacturing automation.
Recently, the company has also begun targeting the manufacturing AIX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) market by overseeing a government-funded project for an AI-driven autonomous production system for the repair and regeneration of gas turbine blades used in power generation.
The company explained that the management’s consecutive on-market purchases are significant as they demonstrate a concrete commitment to restoring market confidence and enhancing shareholder value.
A Smac official stated, “Chairman Choi Young-seop’s additional share purchases stem from his assessment that the current stock price does not fully reflect the company’s business value and growth potential,” adding, “This is intended to convey to the market our commitment to responsible management and enhancing corporate value.”
The official added, “We plan to continue reviewing various measures to enhance shareholder value,” and noted, “We will strengthen our business competitiveness and expand our foundation for future growth, focusing on semiconductors, robotics, and physical AI.”
