According to the disclosure, CEO Kim purchased a total of 30,451 shares on the market between June 4 and 10, and one company executive also acquired an additional 4,000 shares.
This increase in shareholding is interpreted as a measure to demonstrate to the public the management’s commitment to enhancing shareholder value and responsible management, based on their confidence in the company’s mid- to long-term growth potential.
Genolution’s management has consistently purchased treasury shares to demonstrate confidence in the company’s value. In particular, it appears that this additional purchase was driven by the judgment that the current stock price does not fully reflect the strengthening growth foundations—including revenue growth in the molecular diagnostics business, the expansion of the RNAi-based green bio business, and increased entry into overseas markets.
The company explained, “This purchase demonstrates management’s firm belief in the company’s future growth potential and corporate value,” adding that it is “part of our efforts to align interests with shareholders and strengthen responsible management.”
The company added, “We are actively expanding new businesses, including strengthening the competitiveness of our molecular diagnostics and exosome-based liquid biopsy businesses, as well as developing RNAi-based eco-friendly crop protection agents and ‘HoneyGuard-R Liquid,’ the world’s first commercially available RNAi-based bee treatment.” It further stated, “Based on these business achievements, we will simultaneously enhance both corporate value and shareholder value.”
