(Photo = ENCell) This agreement was established to revitalize joint research in the field of cell and gene therapies by linking the research, clinical, and manufacturing capabilities of both institutions, and to expand the clinical applicability of advanced regenerative medicine technologies. The two institutions plan to establish a phased cooperation framework that includes identifying joint research projects, collaborating on clinical research, linking treatment implementation, and exploring possibilities for manufacturing and production support. Through this, they aim to lay the groundwork for applying research outcomes to actual clinical settings. Specific areas of cooperation include: △ joint research and development related to cell and gene therapies; △ collaboration on clinical research and treatment implementation for advanced regenerative medicine; and △ support for the commercialization and practical application of research outcomes. ENCell is a company specializing in contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) of cell and gene therapies. Based on its GMP manufacturing facilities and quality management system, it supports the development of various advanced biopharmaceuticals both domestically and internationally. Sunchang University Seoul Hospital has accumulated clinical and research capabilities across various disease areas, leveraging its excellent medical staff and clinical infrastructure. Recently, it has been expanding research in the field of advanced regenerative medicine to strengthen the foundation for the clinical application of future medical technologies.
