[Edaily Reporter Kim Mi-kyung] Samyang Foods has been named to Interbrand’s “Best Korea Brands” list for the second consecutive year, driven by its global growth led by its flagship brand, Buldak.
#Samyang Foods announced on the 12th that it has been selected for the “2026 Best Korea Brands” list released by global consulting group Interbrand. Following its entry into the top 50 of the Best Korea Brands list for the first time in its history last year, Samyang Foods has been selected again this year, affirming its competitiveness as a leading domestic food brand.
Interbrand valued Samyang Foods’ brand at 452.6 billion won, an 8.6% increase from last year. Its ranking also rose one spot, from 47th last year to 46th this year. Notably, it recorded the highest brand value growth rate among major brands in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
This rise in brand value is interpreted as a reflection of its rapid growth in overseas markets. Samyang Foods is expanding sales in major overseas markets such as the U.S., Europe, China, and Southeast Asia, centered on its Buldak Bokkeummyun product, and is establishing itself as a global food company with overseas sales accounting for over 80% of its total revenue.
The Buldak brand has expanded beyond a simple food product to become cultural content enjoyed by global consumers, contributing to increased brand awareness. Samyang Foods is broadening its reach among global consumers through country-specific marketing and the launch of products that reflect local food cultures. Additionally, the establishment of a stable supply system through the expansion of production infrastructure—including the completion of the Miryang Plant No. 2 and the groundbreaking of the Jiaxing Plant in China—is cited as a key factor in strengthening the brand’s competitiveness.
