[Edaily Reporter Shin Su-jeong] #Lotte Wellfood announced on the 15th that it will launch a limited-edition Gana Chocolate product themed after Toy Story 5 in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Korea. This product was designed to coincide with the release of Toy Story 5, which opens on the 17th. The packaging features designs of key characters, including Woody and Buzz, as well as new characters like Lilypad.
The product lineup consists of a total of five designs, including two varieties of Gana Mild 70g and three varieties of Gana Milk 70g. Lotte Wellfood plans to leverage the Toy Story intellectual property (IP) to expand its reach to diverse consumer groups, including those in their 30s and 40s and the Gen Z demographic.
The company is also hosting a social media event. Consumers can access the event page by scanning the QR code on the back of the product and leave a comment sharing their memories with Gana chocolate or a beloved stuffed animal. The entry period runs until the 5th of next month. Prizes, including two movie tickets and Woody and Jessie character-shaped giveaways, will be awarded via a random drawing.
Starting with this collaboration, Lotte Wellfood plans to expand its marketing efforts by incorporating Disney and Pixar character designs into the Gana brand.
A Lotte Wellfood representative stated, “Through this collaboration themed around ‘Toy Story 5,’ which tells a new story of the long-loved ‘Toy Story’ franchise, we aim to deliver a unique and enjoyable experience through our chocolate.” They added, “We will further strengthen our consumer engagement and solidify Gana’s unique brand image through continuous, comprehensive marketing activities.”
