[Edaily Reporter Shin Su-jeong] #TheBonKorea’s Korean cuisine pub, Makio-reum, is launching three new chicken-based menu items targeting summer dining and snack demand.

The Bon Korea announced on the 16th that Makio-reum will introduce three summer-season Korean-style side dishes: Nul-rung-ji Chicken Hot Pot, Chicken Bulgogi, and Fried Chicken. These new menu items will be available at Makio-reum locations nationwide, with the exception of a few stores.

The Scorched Rice Chicken Hot Pot is a hot pot dish made with chicken broth and scorched rice. It is designed to serve as a meal option while also catering to the demand for side dishes to accompany alcoholic beverages. The Spicy Chicken Bulgogi features a spicy marinade and a smoky flavor, while the Fried Chicken highlights a crispy coating and the texture of the chicken meat.

Magioreum used boneless chicken in all three of these new menu items. The company explained that this reflects both the demand for summer tonic foods during the Boknal (Dog Days) and the demand for easy-to-enjoy bar snacks.

Magioreum has previously introduced menus utilizing seasonal ingredients such as baby octopus, water dropwort, and oysters. The launch of these chicken dishes is part of an effort to expand its lineup of seasonal Korean-style bar snacks.

A representative from Makiorum stated, “We planned these new menu items as Korean-style side dishes featuring chicken, taking into account the demand for both summer tonic meals and easy-to-enjoy snacks,” adding, “We will continue to expand Makiorum’s unique lineup of Korean-style side dishes using ingredients that suit each season.”
