KOSPI Settles Above 8,700 on Back of Peace Agreement… KOSDAQ Falls

Supported by buying from foreign and institutional investors despite selling by individual investors The KOSDAQ is trading sideways around the 1,010 level

According to MP Doctor on the 16th, the KOSPI opened at 8,696.55, up 150.57 points (1.76%) from the previous trading day, and as of 1:27 p.m., it is trading at 8,722.53, up 176.55 points (2.07%).
So far today, retail investors are the only net sellers in the KOSPI market, with net sales of 1.2982 trillion won, while foreign and institutional investors are net buyers of 655.9 billion won and 657.2 billion won, respectively. By trading type, combined arbitrage and non-arbitrage trades show a net selling position of 50.5 billion won.
Following the ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran, which led to a rise in U.S. stock markets, a positive sentiment is also spreading across the KOSPI.
Most of the top market capitalization stocks are showing an upward trend. #Samsung Electronics is trading at 343,000 won, up 6,000 won (1.78%) from the previous trading day, while #SK Hynix is trading at 2,372,000 won, up 84,000 won (3.67%) over the same period.
Meanwhile, the KOSDAQ index opened at 1,039.00, up 4.97 points (0.48%) from the previous trading day, but is currently trading at 1,016.72, down 17.31 points (1.67%) at the same time.
In the KOSDAQ market, retail investors are the only net buyers, with net purchases of 595.3 billion won, while foreign and institutional investors are net sellers of 267.9 billion won and 310.9 billion won, respectively. By trading type, combined arbitrage and non-arbitrage trades show a net selling position of 372.4 billion won.
