(Photo: Shilla SG) Shilla SG announced its "Corporate Value Enhancement Plan 2026" in a regulatory filing on the 16th. This plan focuses on resolving the company’s undervaluation in the market and establishing a foundation for sustainable growth through the establishment of a profitability-centered management system and the reorganization of its business portfolio. The company explained, “Based on a solid business foundation, we will secure both profitability and growth potential to leap forward as a food company with a stable profit-generating structure.” Founded in 1977, Shilla SG has developed its business primarily around fish sausage, seafood processing and distribution, and the meat business. The company has secured HACCP certification and EU export processing facility certification, and has strengthened its quality competitiveness through initiatives such as operating a food research institute. This plan consists of four key tasks: △enhancing the business portfolio, △establishing a profitability-focused operational system, △laying the groundwork for mid- to long-term growth, and △expanding communication with investors. First, the company will shift its business structure from a distribution-focused model to one centered on processing and manufacturing, while expanding the proportion of processed seafood products and developing high-value-added products. At the same time, the company plans to divest low-profitability or non-core businesses to improve overall operational efficiency. To improve profitability, the company plans to reduce costs by expanding direct procurement of raw materials, introduce a profit-and-loss-focused management system, and strengthen accountability in management. The plan also includes specific measures to strengthen the competitiveness of core businesses. The company aims to improve performance by diversifying its sausage product line and ensuring the early stabilization of new businesses, while simultaneously restructuring its revenue model by identifying new growth engines and improving low-profit business operations. In the medium to long term, the company plans to strengthen its growth foundation by expanding its processing business, pursuing vertical integration, and entering overseas markets. In addition, the company will enhance investor communication. It plans to promptly share key management issues and strategies with the market and expand regular investor relations (IR) activities to broaden engagement with investors. The company stated that it aims to increase market trust and ensure its corporate value is fairly evaluated through transparent information disclosure and proactive communication. A Shilla SG official stated, “We will improve our corporate structure to become a company that combines stability and growth potential, thereby increasing shareholder value,” adding, “We plan to use this plan as an opportunity to fully launch efforts to restore our corporate value.”
