Lotte Chilsung Launches ‘Pepsi Extra Fizz’ with Enhanced Carbonation

Emphasizing Long-Lasting Fizz Sugar and Calories Reduced by 30% Launched in Two Varieties: Cans and PET Bottles

Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 17th that it will launch “Pepsi Extra Fizz (EXTRA FIZZ).” The new product was developed in response to consumer demand for rich carbonation and a refreshing taste.

Pepsi Extra Fizz is formulated to create fine carbonation bubbles, ensuring a long-lasting fizz. While maintaining Pepsi’s signature refreshing taste, the carbonation level has been increased so that consumers can enjoy a zesty fizz from the moment they open the bottle until the very last sip.

It also reduces sugar and calorie content. Compared to the original Pepsi, the new product contains approximately 30% less sugar and calories. Lotte Chilsung Beverage explained that the product strikes a balance between taste, refreshment, and calorie content.

The packaging features an image of carbonated bubbles on the front to emphasize its refreshing quality. The label includes the phrase “EXTRA FIZZ” along with the “30% Less Sugar and Calories” label to intuitively highlight the product’s features.

The product will be available in two sizes: a 355-mL can and a 500-mL PET bottle. It will be sold at Chilsung Mall—Lotte Chilsung Beverage’s official online store—as well as other online shopping malls, major supermarkets nationwide, and convenience stores.

A Lotte Chilsung Beverage spokesperson said, “We introduced this new product to meet the demand of consumers who prefer the inherent thrill of carbonation while seeking a lower-calorie option,” adding, “With its enhanced carbonation, this product will help beat the heat this summer.”
