POSCO DX Prepares for the ‘One Person, N Agents’ Era… Accelerates Company-wide AX Innovation

75 Teams and 188 Participants Take Part in the AX Hackathon Identifying AI Agents for Business Automation and Productivity Improvement Pushing to Refine Top Entries and Launch a Full-Scale Service Training In-House AI Experts Through AX Academy

[Edaily Reporter Shin Young-bin] #POSCO DX is strengthening its company-wide AI Transformation (AX) capabilities in preparation for the “one person, N agents” era. The plan is to build internal capabilities so that employees can not only utilize multiple AI agents in their work but also directly plan and develop the agents they need.

POSCO DX announced on the 18th that it held the “AX Hackathon 2026” to promote employee-led AX innovation and identified ideas for automating tasks and improving productivity.

Since declaring its transition to an “AI-native company” last year, POSCO DX has focused on creating an environment where all employees can utilize AI in their work. In particular, anticipating that the “one person, N agents” era—where an individual uses multiple AI agents tailored to specific purposes, moving beyond the “one person, one agent” model—will take off in earnest, the company is strengthening employees’ AI utilization and development capabilities.

A total of 75 teams and 188 participants took part in the AX Hackathon 2026, which began last April. Six teams advanced to the final round to demonstrate the AI models and services they had developed.

The projects that made it to the finals included an AI-based screen design automation platform, a recruitment agent collaboration system, a framework migration agent, a battery and materials AX insights portal, an AI workspace for internal tasks, and an adaptive multi-agent communication assistant that understands collaboration.

The Grand Prize was awarded to the “PIXEL” team for their “AI-based Screen Design Automation Platform.” In addition to the award, the winners will be given the opportunity to attend a global AI conference overseas. POSCO DX’s policy goes beyond simply presenting awards; the company aims to support employees in directly experiencing global AI technology trends and growing into experts who can lead in-house AX innovation.

The AI agents selected as outstanding entries are scheduled to undergo further refinement before being launched as official services. The company plans to apply the ideas generated during the hackathon to real-world work environments to drive productivity improvements.

POSCO DX has also been operating the “AX Academy” program since this year. This program is structured to provide step-by-step learning, covering everything from AI fundamentals to the planning, design, and development of AI agents. It focuses on strengthening practical skills that can be immediately applied in industrial settings by utilizing no-code AI development tools such as Dify.

Through the AX Academy, POSCO DX plans to cultivate a large pool of in-house AI agent experts. Based on this, the company aims to identify automation tasks for specific work processes and foster a culture where frontline employees directly create and utilize AI agents.

A POSCO DX official stated, “With the widespread adoption of AI, utilizing AI agents has become an inevitable trend, and going forward, the efficient deployment of multiple agents will be key to the success of AX.” The official added, “We will strengthen our company-wide AI capabilities to accelerate our transformation into an AI-native company and emerge as a leading AX enterprise.”
