SPG to Participate in North American Automation Exhibition ‘Automate 2026’

Exhibition of Humanoid Actuators and Precision Gearboxes Joint Booth with Three Partner Companies, Including HarmonyGate Demo of AI-Powered Robotic Prosthetic Legs and Tooling Systems, Among Other Technologies Stepping Up Efforts to Penetrate the North American Robotics and Automation Market

[Edaily Reporter Shin Young-bin] #SPG, a company specializing in actuators and precision gearheads for humanoid robots, is participating in North America’s largest automation exhibition for the fourth consecutive year, accelerating its push into the global robotics and automation market.

SPG announced on the 18th that it will participate in “Automate 2026,” North America’s largest automation trade show, which will be held in Chicago, Illinois, for four days starting on the 22nd.

SPG has been participating in Automate for four consecutive years since 2023, continuing its marketing efforts targeting major global markets such as the Americas and Europe.

At this exhibition, SPG will showcase its in-house developed actuators for humanoid joints, as well as precision reducers for industrial and collaborative robots, precision planetary reducers for factory automation (FA), compact geared motors, and custom-spec reducer motors. The company plans to highlight its mass production capabilities to supply key drive components required for future robots and automation processes on a turnkey basis.

Notably, this year SPG is operating a joint booth with three domestic robotics startups. Together with partner companies—HarmonyGate, Coras Robotics, and RoboRise—SPG plans to target global buyers by demonstrating how its core components are applied in real-world robot applications.

HarmonyGate will demonstrate “Vivo-Leg,” an AI-powered robotic prosthetic leg equipped with an SPG actuator (SDD). Vivo-Leg is a next-generation robotic prosthetic leg that uses sensor-based real-time motion generation technology to recognize the user’s gait and intentions, and respond to various situations such as walking forward and backward and navigating obstacles.

Coras Robotics will unveil its “KR-RTS” robotic tooling system for the first time, which automatically changes tools during operation using only robotic motion. By utilizing a magnetic coupling-based power transmission structure—without the need for pneumatic or electric motors—the system reduces the burden of cable replacement and is set to showcase a lineup of over 15 compatible mechanical tools.

RoboRise will exhibit a modular robot platform based on a hexahedral symmetric expansion structure. Designed to enable robot development and AI camera integration with just a single module, this platform targets the next-generation advanced robotics and edge education markets.

SPG aims to expand its presence as a Korean robot component manufacturer in the North American collaborative robot and automation markets through this exhibition. The company plans to respond to growing demand for precision reducers and actuators by leveraging its network of major global manufacturers and distributors.

SPG CEO Yeo Young-gil stated, “We have been fully committed to aggressive marketing targeting major global manufacturers and building a worldwide distributor network.” He added, “At Automate 2026, we will showcase our technological expertise in high-precision actuators and precision gearheads, along with our partners’ high-quality solutions, and make every effort to secure a leading position in the North American robotics and automation market.”
