Inspian Secures U.S. Patent for Core Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Technology… Targets Global SaaS Market

Development of Interconvertible Data Mapping Technology Through the Advancement of Cloud EDI and Enterprise Integration Platforms Pushing Ahead with the Expansion of Global SaaS Business

[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah] #Inspion, an IT company specializing in SAP-based integration and migration consulting, security solutions, and cloud EDI services, is accelerating its expansion into the global market after securing a U.S. patent.

Inspian announced on the 18th that it had completed the registration of a U.S. patent (Registration No. 12,657,009) from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on the 16th for its proprietary “Application Integration Program Mapping DSL” technology.

This patent covers technology that supports the easier and more efficient execution of data mapping tasks, which are essential during the process of inter-enterprise data integration and the implementation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

Data mapping is a core technology for converting data structures and formats between different systems, and it is utilized in various enterprise integration environments, including EDI, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), and API integration. In particular, within the supply chain environments of large corporations—where hundreds of business partners and various ERP and business systems must be connected—the efficiency of mapping technology is considered a key factor that determines implementation time and maintenance costs.

Inspian’s patented technology is characterized by its ability to convert between programming language-based and GUI (Graphical User Interface)-based development methods. Developers can directly implement complex integration logic in code form while simultaneously implementing the same logic in a GUI environment, thereby enhancing development convenience and productivity.

The company expects this technology to efficiently support complex data conversion tasks compared to foreign mapping development tools, and to contribute to shorter implementation times and improved maintenance efficiency through development and test automation.

Building on this U.S. patent registration, Inspian plans to strengthen the competitiveness of its cloud EDI services and enterprise integration platform, while also expanding overseas partnerships and growing its global SaaS (Software as a Service)-based EDI business.

Jeon Hyun-seok, Head of the Service Business Division at Inspian, stated, “This U.S. patent registration signifies that Inspian’s EDI and system integration technologies have been recognized for their technical capabilities and reliability in the global market.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our cloud-based EDI and enterprise integration platforms to expand collaboration with overseas customers and global partners and to meet the demand for digital supply chain innovation and SaaS transformation.”

Inspian is an IT specialist company that provides SAP-based integration and migration consulting, security solutions, and cloud EDI services. Focusing on areas such as personal information access log management, integrated security, and interface operations, the company has secured clients in the public sector, the financial industry, and large enterprises. Recently, it has also been working to enhance AI-based security operations capabilities and its next-generation platform.

Meanwhile, leveraging its experience in EDI implementation with global partners and its capabilities in cloud EDI services, Inspian is expanding its presence in the domestic EDI market. Recently, the company has been focusing on expanding its SaaS-based EDI services and securing large enterprise clients.
