Nexth, Acquires App Market 'One Store'… "We Will Turn It Into a Web3 Gaming Hub"
Acquires 89% Stake for 626억 원; Funds Raised Through Rights Offering and Convertible Bonds
Naver, SK Square, and Krafton Reinvest in Nexthuss
"A Web 2 Game Hub in Korea, a Web 3 Game Store Globally"
Cross ($CROSS) to Rebrand as 'One ($ONE)' to Establish a Unified Brand
[Edaily Reporter Ahn Yu-ri] #NEXUS is acquiring the domestic app marketplace One Store.
NEXUS announced on the 18th that it has decided to acquire 20,247,990 shares of One Store (an 89.03% stake) for approximately 62.6 billion won. The sellers are SK Square (45.78%), Naver (24.06%), Steel Number One Fund I (17.02%), and Krafton (2.17%).
According to the regulatory filing, the acquisition amount represents 84.6% of Nexth’s total assets and 164.5% of its equity as of the end of last year. This significant investment was made possible because SK Square, Naver, and Krafton—the existing shareholders of OneStore—participated in Nexth’s paid-in capital increase and the issuance of convertible bonds.
While Nexthuss raised funds through a rights offering (395억 원) and the issuance of convertible bonds (212억 원) during the acquisition process, SK Square, Naver, and Krafton—which are selling One Store—are not merely exiting with cash but are re-engaging as Nexthuss shareholders and creditors.
“A Web2 Full-Stack Game Hub in Korea, a Web3 Game Store Overseas”
CEO Jang Hyun-guk introduced the background of the One Store acquisition and the platform’s strategy in a video posted on the company’s YouTube channel on the 18th. (Photo: Screenshot from Nexthuss YouTube) Nexthuss announced that through this acquisition, it plans to transform OneStore into a game hub centered on blockchain. CEO Jang Hyun-guk stated on his Twitter account that day, “OneStore’s global vision is to become the world’s first true Web3 game store.”
The strategy is to establish OneStore as a full-stack game hub for Web2 games in Korea and as a Web3 game store globally.
To this end, the company plans to provide game developers with a one-stop LiveOps solution that covers everything from user acquisition to community management, game economy management, and growth.
Globally, the company plans to fully support Web3-native experiences both within and outside of games, incorporating all Web3 features such as wallets, stablecoins, decentralized exchanges (DEX), staking, and bridges.
Nexthus also announced plans to evolve OneStore into an “AI-native game platform” designed to meet the demands of the next generation of content creation. CEO Jang stated, “In the AI era, OneStore will become an AI-native platform that drives the discovery and distribution of content for limitless creativity.”
The strategy involves analyzing and curating the vast amount of content and games generated by AI in real time and connecting them to users.
Brand Unification from “Cross” to “OneChain”

The mainnet of its existing on-chain gaming platform, “CROSS,” will be renamed “OneChain,” and the native token “CROSS ($CROSS)” will be renamed “ONE ($ONE).” The company plans to establish a unified brand identity (BI) linking OneStore and “One ($ONE)” to unify its domestic and international operations under a single identity.
Even after the acquisition, OneStore’s existing business structure and partnerships will be maintained. The company will continue to stably operate its content distribution business lines—including games, apps, webtoons, and web novels—while sustaining existing collaborative relationships with telecom carriers and key partners to focus on strengthening OneStore’s core business competitiveness.
Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Nexth, stated, “We will provide players with a more enjoyable experience and game developers with more powerful solutions.” He added, “As we face a paradigm shift driven by AI and blockchain technology, we will work tirelessly until we achieve our vision of becoming the world’s No. 1 gaming platform.”
