[Edaily Reporter Kim Mi-kyung] Ottogi has begun building automated logistics infrastructure to meet growing global demand.

The Samnam Global Logistics Center is an automated logistics warehouse spanning one basement level and five above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 5,560 pyeong. It can store up to 9,980 pallets (PLT) and is expected to serve as a global logistics hub to respond swiftly to increasing overseas export volumes.
The center features a design optimized for the entire logistics process, including receiving, shipping, label application, and picking (consolidation and splitting). In particular, an automated operating system based on a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and a Warehouse Control System (WCS) has been established to enhance logistics processing speed and accuracy.
Ottogi recognizes that, with the recent expansion of K-Food exports, securing logistics competitiveness has emerged as a key factor in the company’s overall competitiveness. The company’s strategy is to strengthen the stability of its global supply chain not only by expanding production capacity but also by improving logistics efficiency.
Fifty-five company officials attended the completion ceremony held on the 18th, commemorating the center’s completion with a ribbon-cutting and plaque-unveiling ceremony.
An Ottogi official stated, “Amid continuously growing global demand, the Samnam Global Logistics Center will serve as a key hub for strengthening our logistics competitiveness based on a state-of-the-art automated logistics supply system,” adding, “We will continue to build an operational system capable of reliably handling increasing export volumes.” Exterior view of the Ottogi Samnam Global Logistics Center
