#Hyungji Elite announced on the 19th that it has partnered with OK Financial Group to supply school uniforms and apparel commemorating the 80th anniversary of the school’s founding to Osaka Geumgang International School (hereinafter referred to as Geumgang School).

The two companies signed a “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Mutual Cooperation and Development” at the OK Financial Group headquarters on the 18th. Geumgang School, a key client, is a historic ethnic education institution and the world’s first Korean school abroad, founded in 1946 by first-generation Korean residents in Japan to preserve their Korean identity. Since Choi Yoon, Chairman of OK Financial Group, assumed the position of Chairman of the Board in 2019, the group has provided multifaceted support for the school’s development. It is establishing itself as a prestigious educational institution with a stable learning environment.

To commemorate the school’s 80th anniversary this year, Hyungji Elite will supply school uniforms for the entire student body. The company also plans to directly participate in the production of attire for the 80th-anniversary commemorative event to be held this October.

Hyungji Elite made its debut in the Japanese market earlier this year by becoming the first Korean company to supply school uniforms to Kyoto International Junior and Senior High School, a prestigious institution known for its Koshien victories. With this supply contract for Geumgang School, the company has expanded its reach beyond Kyoto to the Osaka region, taking on the production of school uniforms for prestigious local schools in Japan.

Hyungji Elite plans to spread the trend of premium “K-school uniforms” throughout the conservative Japanese school uniform market by leveraging its overwhelming quality competitiveness and stylish designs, which have been proven in the Korean and Chinese markets.

A Hyungji Elite official stated, “Building on our successful establishment in the Chinese premium school uniform market and the positive reception we received at ‘Fashion World Tokyo’ last October, we are actively expanding our market share in Japan.” The official added, “Starting with this supply to Geumgang School in Osaka, we will widely promote the excellence of comfortable and casual K-school uniforms throughout Japan and successfully expand our business scope to include sportswear in the future.”
