[Edaily Reporter Kyung Gye-young] LG Household & Health Care announced on the 19th that it is recruiting startups to lead future innovation in the beauty and wellness industry.
In connection with this, #LGHealth & Beauty attended the “2026 Seoul Open Innovation Launch Day” held the previous day at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and held a business briefing. This event was organized as part of the “Seoul Startup Hub Open Innovation” startup incubation program, hosted by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).
At the briefing, LG Household & Health Care introduced a detailed collaboration roadmap covering △ the direction of partnerships with startups △ recruitment areas and selection criteria △ proof of concept (PoC) and commercialization validation. The company also emphasized the strengths that can be gained through collaboration, such as its brand power and global network.
The main recruitment areas include Beauty Tech, AI, Consumer Tech, and Healthcare; however, any company possessing technology that can enrich consumers’ lives is eligible to participate, regardless of industry. The application deadline is the 29th.
Selected startups will receive a grant of 10 million won from the SBA and undergo a validation process by LG Household & Health Care to assess the feasibility of technology demonstration and commercialization. If positive results are confirmed, this will lead to strategic collaboration and investment consideration.
Through this program, LG Household & Health Care aims to identify and nurture startups that will help realize its new vision of becoming a “Science-Driven Beauty & Wellness Company” and secure future growth engines.
An LG Household & Health Care official stated, “We will maximize synergy by combining LG Household & Health Care’s brand power and market access with the speed and creativity unique to startups,” adding, “Any company with consumer-centric technologies and ideas is welcome to participate without restriction.”
