[Edaily Reporter KIM JUNG YOU ] Seo Ho-jeong (pictured), the second daughter of AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION Chairman Seo Kyung-bae, is set to tie the knot. Her fiancé is reportedly a consultant at a foreign investment firm who is the same age as her. Photo courtesy of AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION According to industry sources on the 21st, Ms. Seo will hold her wedding ceremony at 6:30 p.m. that day at the HotelShilla in Seoul. It is understood that Ms. Seo and her fiancé met through a mutual acquaintance and have been dating since then. While the wedding itself is not private, it is reported to be held exclusively for a small group of invited guests.
Born in 1995, Ms. Seo graduated from Cornell University in the United States with a degree in Hotel Management. She joined the AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION as a new employee at its subsidiary, O’Sulloc. It drew attention that she began her career at O’Sulloc rather than at the flagship company, AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION. She is currently reported to be in charge of product development and marketing at O’Sulloc.
Previously, Ms. Seo received a gift of AMOREPACIFIC Holdings shares from her father, Chairman Seo, in 2023. Last February, she also received a gift of 190,000 AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION common shares worth 30 billion won, which was intended to fund the payment of gift tax on the earlier transfer of Holdings shares.
Ms. Seo has generally maintained a lower public profile compared to her eldest sister, Seo Min-jeong. However, she began to attract attention in terms of the succession plan after joining O’Sulloc last year. Meanwhile, Min-jeong, who joined AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION in 2017, has been on extended leave since 2023.
