NC AI Joins K-New Deal Academy… Aims to Train 150 Generative AI Professionals

Free Provision of the Entire 'VARCO' Product Line Support Ranging from Education to Portfolio Management and Employment Placement

[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] NCsoftCorporation(036570) AI, a company specializing in multimodal AI, is participating in the government-led “K-New Deal Academy” initiative to train young talent in generative AI. The program goes beyond simple education by providing hands-on experience in game and content production and offering support for job placement.

NC AI announced on the 22nd that it will operate a training program on the use of generative AI for 150 unemployed young people aged 15 to 34 in non-metropolitan areas such as Busan, Daejeon, and Gwangju.

The course, totaling 500 hours, is offered entirely free of charge. Trainees will have free access to the full suite of NC AI’s generative AI platform, “VARCO,” and will be provided with commercial accounts identical to those in actual service environments to carry out hands-on projects.

Notably, the program has adopted “Vibe Coding,” a natural language-based code generation method, to allow even non-majors with no coding experience to participate. The company explains that by designing the program to focus on ideas and planning rather than complex programming syntax, it has lowered the barriers to entry for game and content creation.

The training program goes beyond simply acquiring technical skills. During the program, participants will officially release the games they create on platforms such as Google Play and compile a professional portfolio that includes technical documentation and trailer videos.

Following the training, participants will be connected to creative support programs operated by NC AI. Graduates will be able to participate in initiatives such as the “VARCO Contest K-New Deal Special Exhibition,” the “VARCO Game AI Game Production Support Program,” and the “VARCO Artist·Creator Program,” and are expected to receive follow-up support not only for securing full-time employment but also for growing as independent creators.

This initiative is also significant in that it expands AI training opportunities, which are currently concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, to regional areas. Sixty participants will be selected in Busan and Daejeon, and 30 in Gwangju, with the first training session set to begin this July; a total of five cohorts will be conducted sequentially thereafter.

Furthermore, approximately 25% of the curriculum will consist of soft skills training—including mentoring by industry professionals, organizational culture immersion, teamwork building, and self-esteem restoration programs—with a focus on strengthening the employability of long-term unemployed youth.

Lee Yeon-soo, CEO of NC AI, stated, “Based on our experience accumulated in AI technology development and game and content production, we will provide an environment where even non-majors and long-term unemployed youth can create their own content using generative AI.” She added, “We will establish a support system that leads to employment and creative activities even after the training is completed, thereby building a sustainable growth ecosystem.”

Meanwhile, NC AI will oversee the overall operation of this program, with participation from the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMA), the MBC Academy Computer Education Center, and Developket Edu. Applicants can apply through the official NC AI website.
