According to MP Doctor, as of 9:08 a.m. today, WINTEC Co.,Ltd.(320000)is trading at 20,100 won, up 2,280 won (12.79%) from the previous day. At one point during the session, the stock surged to 21,950 won, a 23.18% increase from the previous day’s closing price.
HanWool Semiconductor had previously hit the daily price limit for two consecutive days amid expectations of an improvement in the multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) market and news of a partnership with Japan’s Murata.
The upward trend appears to be continuing amid ongoing news regarding the advancement of AI-based MLCC inspection equipment. With MLCC demand expanding due to recent growth in the markets for AI servers, electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and automotive electronics, demand for related production facilities and inspection equipment is also increasing. HanWool Semiconductor explained that, in response to these market changes, it is expanding discussions on equipment supply with domestic and international MLCC manufacturers.
A HanWool Semiconductor official stated, “Demand from global MLCC manufacturers for improved productivity and process optimization is growing,” adding, “We plan to strengthen our penetration of domestic and international markets based on our technological expertise in MLCC back-end equipment and our AI platform capabilities.”
Yang Seung-soo, an analyst at Meritz Securities, said, “With demand for high-capacity, high-voltage MLCCs for AI servers expanding simultaneously, and an industry-wide supply shortage resulting from supply reallocation, we forecast stronger price and demand growth compared to the past.”
