CMES Robotics and Rainbow Robotics Partner to Commercialize Dual-Arm Robots
MOU for Joint Development and Commercialization of a Dual-Arm Robot
Development of Intelligent Solutions for Logistics and Manufacturing Sites
Sharing Field Data to Enhance Robot Performance
[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] #CMES Robotics, an artificial intelligence (AI) robotics solutions company, is embarking on the commercialization of a dual-arm robot based on physical AI in partnership with Rainbow Robotics(277810).
CMES Robotics announced on the 22nd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Rainbow Robotics for the “joint development and commercialization of dual-arm robots.” Lee Seong-ho, CEO of CMES Robotics (left), and Lee Jeong-ho, CEO of Rainbow Robotics (right), pose for a commemorative photo at the MOU signing ceremony. They will establish a collaborative framework to share data and technical issues arising from actual field operations.
Rainbow Robotics will be responsible for developing the dual-arm robot hardware and control systems, as well as providing on-site feedback, while CMES Robotics will develop AI-based software and implement applications for logistics and manufacturing sites.
They will also share operational data and on-site requirements accumulated as the robots are deployed in the field. Based on this, the two companies envision creating a virtuous cycle in which CMES Robotics’ AI solutions and Rainbow Robotics’ hardware are jointly refined.
The resulting products will be implemented first with CMES Robotics’ existing clients, including major logistics companies and customers in the manufacturing sectors such as automotive and electronics.
CMES Robotics has been driving technological and commercialization achievements by signing business agreements with domestic technology companies possessing expertise in humanoid and robot-related technologies, as well as logistics and manufacturing technologies. Through this collaboration, the company expects to accelerate the industrial adoption of Physical AI-based humanoid robots.
Lee Seong-ho, CEO of CMES Robotics, stated, “This agreement is a collaborative model that facilitates the exchange of field data and technology,” adding, “By combining CMES Robotics’ Physical AI with Rainbow Robotics’ hardware, we will develop intelligent automation solutions that can be immediately deployed in real-world industrial settings.”
