According to MP Doctor on the 22nd, as of 10:03 a.m. that day, SK hynix was trading at 2,876,000 won, up 114,000 won (4.12%) from the previous trading day. Its market capitalization stood at 2,049.7320 trillion won. SK hynix had previously hit 2,891,000 won during trading on the 19th, setting a new 52-week high and surpassing a market capitalization of 2,000 trillion won for the first time in its history. It is the second time a single stock on the domestic stock market has surpassed a market capitalization of 2,000 trillion won, following SamsungElectronics. The gap between its market capitalization and that of SamsungElectronics(005930), which holds the top spot, is only about 37 trillion won. At the same time, SamsungElectronics is trading at 357,000 won, up 3,000 won (0.85%) from the previous trading day. Its market capitalization stands at 2,087 trillion 1215 billion won. If SK hynix surpasses SamsungElectronics’ market capitalization, SamsungElectronics will relinquish its top spot for the first time in about 25 years. SamsungElectronics has held the top spot since November 21, 2000.
