[Edaily Reporter Kang Min-koo ] On the 22nd, the electronic payment company KGINICIS CO.,LTD.(035600)signed a “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Establishment of a Global Digital Asset Payment Model” with the Solana Foundation, a global blockchain platform, at KG Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul.
This agreement was established to verify the payment utility of digital assets issued and circulated on the Solana mainnet. The first phase involves the adoption of stablecoins as an online payment method. It will incorporate various payment methods, including not only general payments but also recurring payments billed automatically each month and split authorizations, where a single transaction is divided among multiple merchants.

Going forward, the company plans to build a model that allows users to receive payment rewards in the form of tokens for transactions made at KGINICIS CO.,LTD. merchant locations. This will involve a system for the integrated management of rewards accumulated at individual merchants, enabling customers to redeem loyalty benefits at any KGINICIS CO.,LTD. merchant location.
Ultimately, the company plans to conduct a proof-of-concept for Solana mainnet-based payments and the tokenization of loyalty rewards to evaluate the commercial viability of digital assets and establish a foundation for business operations once the relevant legal framework is in place.
This project is particularly significant in that it goes beyond simply adding a new payment method to explore various initiatives made possible only by digital assets.
The introduction of borderless digital assets as a payment method is expected to improve global users’ access to domestic online merchants. Direct settlement of payments to overseas merchants and partners using stablecoins can also reduce processing time and costs compared to transactions involving bank intermediaries.
The loyalty program, which combines payment infrastructure with blockchain technology, is expected to provide merchants and customers with a differentiated benefits experience. By consolidating fragmented rewards from individual merchants into a format that is universally accepted across merchants, the program enhances reward usability and interoperability.
A KGINICIS CO.,LTD. representative stated, “Solana is a network capable of enabling various digital asset services based on fast processing speeds and reasonable fees,” adding, “We will expand the digital asset payment ecosystem in collaboration with Solana, leveraging KGINICIS CO.,LTD.’s merchant network and payment infrastructure operational capabilities.”
