Crowd Academy Reports 390% Increase in Corporate AI Training Revenue

B2B Education Revenue Surges Year-Over-Year from January to May Manufacturing Accounts for 32% of Education, Ranking First Tailored Curricula by Job Role and Industry Prove Effective Inquiries About Government Funding for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Rise 5.1-Fold

[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] CrowdAcademy, the artificial intelligence (AI) education subsidiary of CrowdWorks, Inc.(355390), is showing rapid growth in the corporate AI training market.

CrowdWorks, Inc. announced on the 23rd that CrowdAcademy’s revenue from corporate AI training (B2B) for the period from January to May of this year increased by 390% compared to the same period last year.

Demand for AI training is spreading across all industries. According to CrowdAcademy’s analysis of companies that received AI training from January to May this year by industry, manufacturing accounted for the highest share at 32%. This was followed by IT and software at 23%, non-profit and public sectors at 12%, and distribution and services at 8%.

It is particularly noteworthy that the manufacturing sector surpassed the IT sector to claim the largest share. While AI training was previously centered on IT companies and development roles, this indicates that traditional manufacturing companies are now also embarking on company-wide efforts to improve their AI capabilities.

Crowd Academy reports that companies’ adoption of AI has moved beyond the one-time trial phase and entered a stage where it is actually boosting workplace productivity. The company explains that demand for hands-on training tailored to a company’s internal data and business processes is growing rapidly, surpassing that for purely theory-based AI training.

Based on the AI engineering expertise of its parent company, CrowdWorks, Inc., CrowdAcademy offers AI training programs tailored to specific business needs. Its core offering is domain-specific AI training that reflects the unique characteristics of industries such as biotechnology, finance, and manufacturing.

For example, the company offers courses on experimental data analysis and the automation of medical paper writing for biotech and pharmaceutical companies, while providing hands-on training in building Agent AI tools tailored to the workflows of specific departments—such as marketing, accounting, human resources, and research and development (R&D).

Government-supported programs are also contributing to the expansion of the corporate AI training market. The “SME Talent Development Premium Training” program, which supports the enhancement of job competencies for employees at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), covers up to 95% of training costs, thereby reducing the financial burden on SMEs. According to Crowd Academy, inquiries regarding training under this program from January to May of this year increased 5.1 times compared to the same period last year.

Given that demand for AI training is growing not only among large corporations but also among SMEs, Crowd Academy plans to further refine its customized training programs tailored to specific industries and job roles.

Lee Bo-ram, CEO of Crowd Academy, stated, “Thanks to our precise curriculum design—which addresses real-world business challenges—and systematic operations, our clients are voluntarily expanding the scale of their training programs and placing additional orders for advanced courses, resulting in a high renewal rate.” She added, “We will continue to provide sophisticated, practice-oriented curricula to help companies improve their AI capabilities across the entire organization.”
