The event featured presentations by S2W CEO Seo Sang-deok, S2W Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Park Geun-tae, S2W Chief Product Officer (CPO) Kim Jae-ki, and other senior executives from the headquarters, along with S2W Japan Branch Manager Heita Miyoshi. They introduced the company’s technological capabilities, product lineup, and business strategy for Japan, and shared technical insights in the fields of cybersecurity and AI.
CEO Seo stated, “In Japan, investment in digital transformation (DX) and AI transformation (AX) is rapidly expanding, while the advancement of cyber threat response systems is emerging as a pressing national priority. From S2W’s perspective, this is a market with very high strategic value and growth potential,” he said, explaining the rationale behind the establishment of the subsidiary. “Furthermore, local demand is steadily increasing across all of our core areas—including cybersecurity, information security, and AX—making Japan a highly significant country as a hub for our business expansion in Asia.”
Next, Mr. Miyoshi, the branch manager—who has over 20 years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry in business development, overseas operations, and consulting on cross-border expansion for Korean and Japanese companies—introduced the branch’s operational plans, customer support system, and a phased roadmap for attracting new customers and expanding partnerships. Finally, the event concluded with a keynote presentation by CPO Kim on “The Current State of Supply Chain Penetration and Preventive Security (TPRM) Based on Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI),” followed by a technical session by CTO Park on “The Future Direction of AI-Based Domain-Specific Data Intelligence.”
In March, S2W signed a renewed contract with a Japanese government agency that was more than 3.5 times larger than the previous one, reaffirming the recognition of its product performance and technological capabilities in the Japanese market, which is known for its high barriers to entry and rigorous verification processes. Moving forward, the company plans to simultaneously target both the public and private sectors by establishing a customer-centric technical support system centered on its Japanese subsidiary and strengthening its collaborative foundation with local partners.
Miyoshi, the head of the Japanese subsidiary, stated, “I am deeply honored to be part of S2W’s business expansion in Japan, as the company has demonstrated a broad spectrum of technologies on the global stage over the past seven years.” He added, “Based on a deep understanding of the local environment, I will do my utmost to ensure a smooth entry into Japan—a key market—and strengthen our position within the industry.”
CEO Seo said, “We will closely analyze the industry-specific needs and customer challenges in the Japanese market and actively incorporate them into the process of enhancing our products and services.” He added, “Based on this, we will develop the Japanese subsidiary into a key pillar driving S2W’s global growth.”
