SphereAX Joins Forces with U.S. AI Semiconductor Firm Blaze to Target the Physical AI Market
Strategic MOU Signed at National Assembly Forum
Joint Development of AI Semiconductor-Based Solutions
“Making Korea a Global Hub for Edge AI Production”
[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] SPHERE AX, a South Korean company specializing in vision AI, is partnering with Blaize, a Nasdaq-listed U.S. AI semiconductor company, to target the physical AI market. The strategy is to jointly develop next-generation AI solutions aimed at the global market by combining AI semiconductor technology with South Korea’s AI software capabilities.
Sphere AX announced on the 24th that it had signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Blaize ahead of the “Physical AI Frontier Powerhouse New Technology Strategy Forum” held at the National Assembly.
Life Semantics Corp.(347700)SpearAX, founded in 2008, changed its name from “Woogyung Information Technology” to “SpearAX.” Its headquarters are located in Alpha City, Suseong-gu, Daegu.

This agreement aims to develop and commercialize next-generation Physical AI solutions based on AI semiconductors. The two companies plan to establish a comprehensive cooperation framework, including joint research and development (R&D) in the field of edge AI computing, the development of AI semiconductor-based products, the identification of global business opportunities, and joint commercialization efforts targeting domestic and international customers.
This agreement is seen as a starting point for building a Physical AI value chain that connects everything from AI semiconductors to software and services.
The two companies plan to jointly develop next-generation solutions applicable to smart cities, smart factories, industrial safety, security, robotics, and mobility by combining Blaze’s AI inference semiconductor platform with SphereAX’s vision AI technology.
As Physical AI has recently emerged as a core technology in the manufacturing, logistics, and robotics industries, the edge AI market—which combines high-performance AI semiconductors with real-time video analysis technology—is also growing rapidly. The industry views this collaboration as contributing not only to the expansion of South Korea-U.S. technological cooperation but also to strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic AI semiconductor ecosystem.
The two companies also plan to collaborate on developing AI semiconductor-based products and establishing a production system in Korea. They intend to leverage the government’s policies to foster the AI semiconductor industry and Korea’s advanced manufacturing infrastructure to expand their global supply chain.
Park Yoon-ha, CEO of SphereAX, stated, “This collaboration goes beyond a simple technical partnership; it will serve as a starting point for developing and producing actual commercial products in Korea based on world-class AI semiconductor technology,” adding, “We will continue to expand international cooperation so that Korea can grow into a key production hub in the global edge AI market.”
Dinakar Munagara, CEO of Blaze, remarked, “Korea is a strategic market that possesses both advanced technological capabilities and the ability to rapidly apply them to the market.” He added, “Through our collaboration with SphereAX, we will create new growth opportunities and expand our business beyond Asia into the global market.”
Meanwhile, Blaze, headquartered in California, U.S., is an AI semiconductor company that provides processors and software platforms dedicated to AI inference, focusing its business on smart cities, industrial automation, logistics, and telecommunications.
