Celltrion to Present Japanese Clinical Trial Results for Ramzyma SC, an Autoimmune Disease Treatment, at an International Conference

[Edaily Reporter Kim Seung-kwon ] Celltrion(068270)will give an encore presentation on the results of clinical trials in Japan for the company’s autoimmune disease treatment at this international academic conference.

Celltrion announced on the 25th that it will participate in the “2026 Asian Congress on Inflammatory Bowel Disease and the International Congress of the Korean Society of Gastroenterology” (AOCC&IMKASID), being held jointly in Seoul through the 27th, to showcase the global competitiveness of its autoimmune disease treatment “Remsima SC” (active ingredient: infliximab).

At this conference, Celltrion will present an encore presentation of the Phase 3 clinical trial results involving 60 Japanese patients with Crohn’s disease (CD), which were recently unveiled at the “2026 Digestive Disease Week (DDW).” The study evaluated the efficacy and safety over 44 weeks by switching patients who had achieved clinical remission with the existing intravenous (IV) formulation of Remsima to Remsima SC, the subcutaneous (SC) formulation.

According to the study results, patients who switched to the SC formulation maintained stable clinical and endoscopic remission markers throughout the 44-week maintenance treatment period, and no safety concerns were identified.

In addition, during the conference, affiliate Celltrion Pharm Inc. will set up its own booth and conduct academic marketing activities. On the 26th, the second day of the conference, an “Expert Session” at the booth will share practical application strategies based on actual prescribing data for Remsima SC from overseas healthcare professionals.

Later that same day, at the “Celltrion Luncheon Symposium,” Professor Silvio Danese of Italy’s San Raffaele University—a global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) in the field of inflammatory bowel disease—and Professor Hong Seong-no of Samsung Medical Center will serve as speakers.

The two experts will share their latest insights on the following topics: △Real-world prescribing experience with subcutaneous infliximab: Latest global data; and △Personalized IBD treatment: The role of therapeutic drug monitoring in infliximab therapy.

A Celltrion spokesperson stated, “We will continue to secure clinical evidence in the global market to accelerate the expansion of prescriptions,” adding, “We will do our utmost to ensure that patients with autoimmune diseases can benefit from Ramzyma SC.”
