ANIPLUS INC. announced on the 25th that it has signed a contract with CyberAgent to provide the anime news portal “Animefrix Korean.”
Anime Freaks is a specialized anime news media platform launched by CyberAgent in April 2024. In the roughly two years since its launch, Anime Freaks has rapidly expanded its global reach by introducing Japanese, English, Chinese, and French versions, and through this collaboration with ANIPLUS INC., it is now adding a Korean-language service.
The launch of this Korean-language service is designed to make it more convenient for Korean anime fans to access the latest anime news and various content provided by ANIME FREAKS.
While the influence of Japanese animation has steadily grown in the Korean market, there has been a lack of media portals specializing in animation. As a result, many fans often had to search for information directly on Japanese websites or online communities. The new “ANIME FREAKS Korean Service” is expected to serve as a gateway for fans to access the latest news on Japanese animation in Korean more easily and quickly.
Animefrix is a specialized anime media outlet that provides a wide range of content, including the latest anime news from Japan, columns, interviews with voice actors and producers, and fan events. The Korean-language service will feature Animefrix’s main news content and will also periodically showcase original news from ANIPLUS INC.
ANIPLUS INC. representative stated, “We are honored to introduce Animefrix’s Korean service—which is expanding its influence in the global market—to fans in Korea,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide animation fans with a wide variety of content and information.”
The “Animefrix Korean Service” launched on the 24th and is currently hosting an event to celebrate its launch. Animefrix also plans to gradually expand its services to include German, Spanish, Portuguese, and other languages.
