CG Invites and the Korea Medical Research Institute Collaborate to Support K-Digital Healthcare’s Overseas Expansion and Global Export Infrastructure

[Edaily Reporter SHIN MIN JOON ] CG Invites(083790)The Korea Medical Institute (KMI) will officially participate in establishing an artificial intelligence (AI)- and data-based digital operating system (OS) and a supply chain cooperation system to support K-Digital Healthcare’s expansion into overseas markets.

The establishment of this cooperative framework is seen not merely as a simple collaboration between the two organizations, but as part of a strategic partnership focused on platform exports—aimed at advancing healthcare data-based system architectures in collaboration with member companies of the K-Digital Healthcare Alliance and applying and expanding these systems into overseas markets.

It is reported that the goal is to develop the K-Digital Healthcare industry into an export-oriented industrial asset targeting the global market. The K-Digital Healthcare Alliance refers to South Korea’s largest digital healthcare industry supply chain network, currently comprising 55 participating institutions and companies.

The K-Digital Healthcare Alliance is a multi-layered industrial ecosystem comprising specialized technology companies spanning a wide range of fields—from △AI, △genomics, △exploration and prediction, △diagnosis and screening, △digital therapeutics, and △data convergence to △smart hospital IT, △cloud and AIDC/sLLM, and △system architecture.

Similar to the materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) ecosystems in other domestic industries—such as defense, IT, semiconductors, and energy—it is designed as a supporting industrial ecosystem structure, with InVitesLoop OS at the apex and numerous specialized technology companies responsible for and supplying each layer. Its goal is to simultaneously promote and achieve the localization and vertical integration of the digital healthcare supply chain, as well as joint overseas expansion.

Industry observers predict that the K-Digital Healthcare Alliance will serve as a key pillar for securing standards in the digital healthcare industry and strengthening the foundation for platform exports. Given that the establishment of an overseas expansion and export model for K-Digital Healthcare has been selected as one of the government’s 15 Major Projects for the Ultra-Innovative Economy, the industry expects this initiative to be pursued in close coordination with the government’s bio and digital healthcare export strategy.

A representative from CG Invites stated, “We welcome KMI’s joining the alliance,” adding, “This combines KMI’s data assets and operational experience with the K-Digital Healthcare Alliance’s overseas expansion strategy.”

The representative continued, “This will serve as a major turning point for the global expansion of Korea’s digital healthcare industry,” adding, “By combining the technologies and capabilities of the participating institutions and companies, Korea’s digital healthcare industry will evolve into a competitive, platform-based export industry in the global market.”

Meanwhile, KMI (Korea Medical Institute) is a nonprofit medical foundation established in 1985. As Korea’s leading comprehensive health screening institution, it operates eight health screening centers nationwide and conducts health screenings for over 1.5 million people annually. Recently, it has been expanding its AI and digital healthcare services based on screening data and is expected to contribute to the establishment of a data-driven healthcare ecosystem.
