[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Hanju ARTI ( HANJOO ART(058450)) announced on the 26th that it has acquired the domestic certified refurbished platform “TTM.” With this acquisition, the company is expanding its business scope into the refurbished and IT asset disposal (ITAD) sectors. TTM is a platform that possesses core assets for the certified refurbished business, including an AI-based inspection engine, patents related to refurbished product grading, and accumulated transaction and inspection data. Through this acquisition, HANJOO ART plans to secure relevant technologies and operational capabilities and target domestic and international resource recycling markets. HANJOO ART plans to strengthen its Gimpo remanufacturing facility, advance its AI inspection system, obtain global certifications, and expand its B2B ITAD business. Business strategy and planning will be led by Kim Yong-jun, Head of Business Strategy, who previously served as CEO of Early Adopter, a domestic IT and electronics media commerce company. Drawing on his experience in AI commerce and platform operations, Kim plans to drive the growth of the TTM business. The company actively pursued this acquisition, recognizing the growth potential of the ITAD market driven by the expansion of ESG management, stricter data security regulations, and increased investment in AI infrastructure. ITAD is a business that safely erases data from laptops, servers, storage devices, and network equipment previously used by companies, and then reuses, resells, or recycles them. Market research firm Market Insights forecasts that the global ITAD market will grow by 8% annually, rapidly expanding to approximately 41 trillion Hanwha by 2032. An official from HANJOO ART stated, “Through the acquisition of TTM, we have entered the high-growth refurbished and ITAD markets,” adding, “By combining technology, platforms, and remanufacturing infrastructure, we will grow into a company that leads the domestic resource circulation industry.” Meanwhile, the company plans to officially launch its B2B ITAD service in the second half of the year and begin full-scale sales activities targeting major corporations and public institutions.
