[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] The feature-length animated film "ViQueens," invested in and produced by visual effects (VFX) specialist M eighty-three Co.,Ltd., has been selected for the official masterclass lineup at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, the world’s most prestigious animation festival.

M eighty-three Co.,Ltd. announced on the 29th that the feature-length animated film “ViQueens,” in which it participated as an investor and producer, has been included in the official Masterclass lineup of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival is considered one of the world’s top three animation film festivals, alongside the Ottawa and Zagreb International Animation Film Festivals. The Masterclass is a program where leading global animation studios, directors, and investors participate to share insights into the production process and technical expertise. By being selected alongside global studios such as Disney and Pixar, “By Queens” has been recognized for its artistic merit and production competitiveness.

A new trailer for *By Queens* was also unveiled at the festival. The film is set for a global release later this year and is scheduled for a nationwide wide release in China.

M eighty-three Co.,Ltd. participated in the investment and production of *By Queens* alongside its European affiliate, GIMPVILLE, and its subsidiary, Motorhead, securing a structure to share distribution revenues in the Asian region. The company plans to use this project as a springboard to expand its overseas co-production and content intellectual property (IP) businesses.

Meanwhile, M eighty-three Co.,Ltd. is expanding its content business based on VFX technology accumulated through the production of films, TV dramas, and over-the-top (OTT) content. Recently, by incorporating AI-based production technology, the company has been pursuing projects to create synthetic data for physical AI training—used in robots, drones, defense, and smart factories—as well as virtual environment construction, thereby broadening its business scope as a visual AI company.

To this end, the company is accelerating the establishment of a group-wide AI business ecosystem. Through a recent collaboration with People & Technology, Inc., it has secured AI infrastructure capabilities, including GPU servers and storage. People & Technology, Inc., leveraging partnerships with global vendors such as Xfusion and Asrock Rack, has previously signed AI server supply contracts totaling 77 billion won with companies like Naver Cloud and Kakao.
