[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #QuadMedicine Inc., a company specializing in medical microneedle platforms, is expanding its international partnerships by introducing next-generation vaccine delivery technology at the Global Vaccine Forum, jointly hosted by the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).

QuadMedicine Inc. announced on the 29th that it presented its microneedle-based emergency drug delivery platform and vaccine delivery technology at the “2026 Global Vaccine Forum” held on the 25th.

The company is developing a drug delivery platform based on a micro-needle patch (MAP) for transdermal administration. In particular, it recently developed “on-site loading” technology—which applies powdered vaccines directly to micro-needles at the vaccination site—and published the related research findings in an international academic journal.

Unlike the conventional method, which involves transporting vaccine bulk solution to a separate GMP production facility for manufacturing, the On-site Loading technology allows powdered vaccines to be applied directly to microneedles at the vaccination site. The company expects this to enhance the flexibility and accessibility of vaccine supply.

QuadMedicine Inc. is also pursuing commercialization in the field of emergency medicines, as evidenced by its recent signing of a contract to supply production equipment for epinephrine microneedle patches (MAPs), which are used for the emergency treatment of anaphylactic shock.

At this forum, the company introduced its microneedle-based vaccination platform to international organizations and global health officials, while exploring opportunities for global partnerships and overseas expansion.

The company explained that as the vaccine industry is increasingly focusing not only on the development of new vaccines—such as mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) vaccines—but also on improving vaccine delivery methods and access to vaccination, microneedle technology is gaining attention as a next-generation drug delivery platform.

A QuadMedicine Inc. official stated, “We are demonstrating our technological capabilities by becoming the first in Korea to gain clinical experience with microneedles for vaccines,” adding, “We will expand the scope of application for our microneedle platform in the fields of emergency medicines and vaccines and actively pursue entry into the global market.”
