[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] #QuadMedicine Inc. is showing a gain of over 12% during today’s trading session. This is believed to reflect market expectations of expanded international partnerships following the company’s presentation of next-generation vaccine delivery technology at the Global Vaccine Forum.
According to MP Doctor on the 29th, as of 9:42 a.m. today, QuadMedicine Inc. is trading at 6,200 won, up 12.52% from the previous trading day.
The company is believed to have stimulated investor sentiment by announcing its microneedle-based emergency drug delivery platform and vaccine delivery technology at the “2026 Global Vaccine Forum,” held on the 25th and co-hosted by the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA). The company is developing a drug delivery platform based on a micro-needle patch (MAP) for transdermal administration. In particular, it recently developed “on-site loading” technology—which applies powdered vaccines directly to micro-needles at the vaccination site—and published the related research findings in an international academic journal.
Unlike the conventional method, which involves transporting vaccine bulk to a separate GMP production facility for manufacturing, the on-site loading technology allows powdered vaccines to be applied directly to microneedles at the vaccination site. The company expects this to enhance the flexibility and accessibility of vaccine supply.
Expectations for commercialization in the emergency medicine sector also appear to have influenced investor sentiment. QuadMedicine Inc. is pursuing commercialization in the emergency medicine sector as well, having recently signed a contract to supply production equipment for epinephrine microneedle patches, an emergency treatment for anaphylactic shock.
In the vaccine industry, interest is growing not only in the development of new vaccines, such as mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) vaccines, but also in improving vaccine delivery methods and access to vaccinations. Consequently, microneedle technology—which can address the limitations of existing injection-based vaccination methods—is gaining attention as a next-generation drug delivery platform.
A QuadMedicine Inc. official stated, “We are demonstrating our technological capabilities by securing Korea’s first clinical experience with microneedles for vaccines,” adding, “We will expand the scope of application for our microneedle platform in the emergency medicine and vaccine sectors and actively pursue entry into the global market.”
