[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Display equipment specialist DMS Co.,Ltd.(068790)announced on the 29th that it has signed a contract worth 677억 원 to supply OLED manufacturing equipment to CSOT, a major Chinese panel manufacturer.
This contract involves the supply of display manufacturing equipment for CSOT’s 8th-generation OLED production line at its T8 plant. The contract value is approximately 677억 원, representing a significant order even among the single orders DMS Co.,Ltd. has secured recently.
CSOT’s T8 plant is a 8th-generation OLED production hub currently under construction in China to meet the expanding demand in the mid-to-large-sized OLED market for IT devices, monitors, and tablets. DMS Co.,Ltd. plans to supply the equipment necessary for the OLED manufacturing process to this line.
This order was secured amid a wave of expanded investment in next-generation OLED technology in China. The company explained that this is yet another demonstration of its technological expertise in the field of OLED wet-process equipment and its ability to serve global customers.
DMS Co.,Ltd. primarily supplies wet-process equipment—including cleaning, developing, etching, and stripping systems—for OLED and LCD manufacturing processes. By collaborating with major Chinese panel manufacturers, the company has strengthened its local responsiveness and equipment reliability, thereby enhancing its competitiveness in securing orders.
A company official stated, “This order is a result of DMS Co.,Ltd.’s technological capabilities and delivery track record being recognized amid the expansion of next-generation OLED investments,” adding, “We expect demand for related equipment to grow if major Chinese panel manufacturers, including CSOT, continue their investments in 8th-generation OLED production.”
The official added, “Building on our competitiveness in existing wet-process equipment, we will continue to expand new business opportunities in next-generation display and semiconductor-related fields, such as glass substrates and OLEDoS.”
