[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] ROAS, a subsidiary of #CLOBOT Co., Ltd and a company specializing in robotics solutions, announced on the 30th that it successfully concluded the “ROAS Global Robotics Forum 2026 (GRF 2026),” held on the 24th at the Peace & Park Convention Center in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Now in its second year, the forum was held under the theme “Embodied AI: Real-world in Action—Transitioning Beyond the Digital into Reality.” The event featured discussions on industrial applications of physical AI and embodied AI technologies, as well as strategies for their business utilization. The forum was attended by representatives from the robotics industry, academia, research institutions, and the investment sector, who discussed technological changes and industry outlooks in the era of Physical AI. Speakers from global robotics companies—including UNITREE, Agile Robots, EmbodyDeep, PsiBot, and DISCOVER ROBOTICS—presented on trends in Physical AI and Embedded AI technologies. From South Korea, LOTTE INNOVATE, Safetix, Stonebridge Ventures, Inc., and Superb AI participated, presenting on key industry issues such as robotics investment trends, AI vision-based humanoid learning, Physical AI application strategies, and robot safety intelligence. Academics also shared their research findings. Professor Hyejin Oh of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) introduced the future of physical AI and human-robot interaction (HRI) via an online session, while Professor Min-Kyo Seo of the University of Central Florida presented research on “Embodiment-Aware Skill Learning for Diverse Robots.” In addition to the presentation sessions, the event featured exhibition booths showcasing the hardware and software necessary for implementing Physical AI, including humanoids, quadruped robots, autonomous driving sensors, and industrial collaborative robots. Attendees had the opportunity to see various robot technologies and industrial application cases firsthand. Joo Yong, CEO of ROAS, stated, “GRF 2026 went beyond a simple introduction of technology; it was an opportunity to confirm the potential of ‘Open Orchestration,’ which breaks down the boundaries between hardware and software.” He added, “Having confirmed that Physical AI and Embedded AI can translate into tangible business value, we will continue to provide insights and networking opportunities to revitalize the domestic and international robotics ecosystem.”
