[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] SELVAS AI Inc.(108860) affiliate MEDIANA Co.,LTD(041920)announced on the 30th that a case of early detection of cardiac arrhythmia using its integrated monitoring platform has been confirmed at Chajo-eun Hospital, an educational partner of Kyung Hee University Medical Center. This is the second case of practical application in a medical setting to be disclosed, following an incident last May at Nice Hospital where a wearable ECG-based integrated monitoring system detected abnormal ECG signs in a hospitalized patient early on, leading to prompt transfer to another facility. The company explained that cases of the integrated monitoring platform’s use are continuously accumulating in actual hospital operations. Chamjoeun Hospital operates MEDIANA Co.,LTD’s integrated monitoring platform, “MEDIANA Unified Monitoring,” which links wearable ECG devices and the centralized monitoring system (CMS) “Unified Central” to existing wired patient monitoring devices (PMDs). This platform is a system that integrates and manages patient vital signs generated by wired patient monitoring devices and wearable medical devices through a centralized monitoring system. It is designed to minimize monitoring gaps within the hospital by allowing real-time monitoring of patients—both those in their beds and those being transported for tests or rehabilitation—all on a single screen. Recently, at Chajo Eun Hospital, cardiac arrhythmia was detected early while monitoring a patient using a wearable ECG. The hospital explained that after the medical staff identified the abnormal signs transmitted in real time, they proceeded with a detailed diagnosis and treatment, thereby preventing the condition from progressing into severe heart disease. An official from Chamoeun Hospital stated, “We are strengthening our patient safety management system within the wards by operating not only wearable ECGs but also fall detection devices,” adding, “We are striving to create a patient-centered healthcare environment through rapid response and an efficient monitoring system whenever abnormal signs occur.” MEDIANA Co.,LTD representative said, “As case studies of integrated monitoring platform implementation in medical settings accumulate, its effectiveness in enhancing patient safety and ward operational efficiency is being confirmed,” adding, “While continuing to expand domestic implementations, we will develop the platform into a predictive integrated monitoring system linked with AI medical services to further penetrate domestic and international markets.” Meanwhile, MEDIANA Co.,LTD has recently been expanding the supply of its integrated monitoring platform, primarily to general hospitals and long-term care facilities, and the cumulative number of beds equipped with the system has now exceeded 4,000.
