According to the company, Hanwork has now amassed foreign job-seeker matching data comprising 30,000 cumulative applications and 2,200 applicants. In May, the number of applications increased by approximately 40% compared to the previous month, continuing its growth trend. By residency status, the number of applications in May from holders of E-series visas—which allow for employment—increased by about 60% compared to the previous month, while applications from D-series visa holders, primarily international students, also rose by about 25% during the same period. HANPASS CO.,Ltd. analyzed that, based on its approximately 90,000 foreign members, users highly interested in finding employment in Korea shared job listings through their personal networks and online communities, leading to a simultaneous increase in both new sign-ups and job applications. HanWork also operates a customized recruitment service that connects international students with stores, primarily in university areas, in collaboration with large convenience store chains and businesses in the food and beverage industry. A HanWork representative stated, “As the pool of foreign job seekers expands, we are also responding to hiring demand in sectors with high labor needs, such as the food service industry,” adding, “We plan to continuously enhance our services so that employers can secure talent reliably.”
