Comprehensive entertainment company #Fantagio announced on the 1st that it has signed a co-production agreement with KT Studio Genie and the creator group Glain for the drama “The Docile Killer.”
The drama “The Docile Killer” tells the story of a delicate woman—whose only plan in life was to be a model wife and mother—who takes an unplanned job to survive outside the “greenhouse” of her sheltered life. Set in the 1970s and 1980s, it is a pure and delicate noir drama. Director Lee Jeong-heum, known for “Gugyeong-i” and “Our Movie,” will direct, while writer Ju Hwa-mi of “I’m No Hero” will pen the screenplay.
Fantagio announced that through this agreement, it plans to expand its drama production pipeline, diversify its portfolio with content across various genres, and strengthen its competitive edge in businesses based on its own intellectual property (IP).
Namgung Gyeon, Chairman of Fantagio, stated, “Based on the production capabilities we have built up so far, we plan to expand our content portfolio and consistently present works across various genres,” adding, “Through the successful execution of projects, we will enhance the competitiveness of our in-house IP and strengthen our sustainable production foundation.”
Fantagio has steadily expanded its drama production business while building on its foundation in actor and singer management. The company has accumulated expertise and know-how by producing numerous works, including tvN’s *Blind*, JTBC’s *Miracle Brothers*, MBC’s *Lovely Dog Today*, KBS2’s *Fantasy Ballad* and *Treat Me Roughly*, and most recently, SBS’s *Manager Kim*, which has been garnering high viewership ratings and buzz since its premiere.
Meanwhile, the agency represents numerous stars, including Cha Eun-woo, Kim Seon-ho, Lee Sung-kyung, Lee Se-young, Baek Yoon-sik, Ong Seong-wu, Kang Ye-won, and Cha Jun-hwan.
