(Photo courtesy of SM Entertainment)According to their agency, SM Entertainment, on the 6th, Red Velvet will release their new mini-album “Velvet Summer” on the 3rd of next month. “Velvet Summer” marks their first full-group release in two years and two months since they released the mini-album “Cosmic” in June 2024, which coincided with their 10th debut anniversary. The album features a total of five tracks, including the title track “Surfin’ Boy.” The agency described it as “an album where fans can fully enjoy the diverse vibes of summer.” Previously, Red Velvet has garnered a positive response from fans by releasing summer tracks such as “Red Flavor,” “Power Up,” “Umpah Umpah,” and “Queendom.” The agency stated, “Red Velvet will connect with global listeners through a new style of summer song.” Ahead of the album’s release, Red Velvet will hold their fan concert “A Day in Red & Velvet” on August 1–2 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium. Tickets for the fan concert sold out entirely during the pre-sale period alone.
